Our Beginnings

The current  IPDI is a product of the merger between the service consultancy  of Ervin More operating mainly in Mindanao  and some parts of the Visayas, and the IPDI group in Manila which operates mainly in Luzon and also some parts of the Visayas.  For almost two decades, Mr. Ervin more has been the consultant of SCLF for its development projects.  The IPDI group for its part, although only formally established in 2005, has also been providing service to MM, SCLF, DKA and KfB for the same twenty years.  The IPDI cooperation with MISSIO came after 2005.

Initially limited only to project appraisals, in 2005, the IPDI work would expand to include project accompaniment and partnership building (then called partnership development and networking). Then, as it is now, cooperation and networking, between and among   IPDI, the funding agencies (FAs) and the Philippine local partners became a reality.  Partnerships that can be characterized as mission-based rather than funding-based; partnerships dedicated to the mission of bringing about fullness of Life.

Today, IPDI’s accompaniment services continues to be systematized with the intent of increasing efficiency and effectiveness of local partners in achieving greater community impact results.  Partnership building and networking are also being strengthened and consolidated for the same purpose.  A training program is also currently being designed and modules are soon to be piloted.
